The Day
Our pride in Scottish heritage is one of the things that connected us early in our relationship, so we're looking forward to lots of tartans, paying homage to our ancestry and showing our international (and English) friends what a good ceilidh is like!
Our shared vision for the day is to have lots of fun together, so get ready to laugh, smile and dance like nobody's watching. We can't wait to see you in Glasgow!

Accommodation
The venue is on the doorstep of many hotels that will suit varying needs and budgets. The nearest accommodation is Fraser Suites (where we are staying). It's just across the road from Arta - so we can go straight from the party to bed! Here are some options we recommend that are no more than a 15-minute walk.
FAQ’s
What time shall I arrive?
If you are a day guest, please arrive at 1:00 pm for a 1:30 pm start. We want to ensure you are seated comfortably, but please be aware that there may be some standing room only for guests due to numbers. If you're an evening guest, we look forward to seeing you at 7:00 pm.
Can I bring my children?
Our numbers are limited, so we can only invite the children of direct family members. However, let us know if you have childcare challenges, as we may be able to accommodate them. If you're bringing your little one, please be aware that all under 18's must be out of the venue by 10 pm due to licensing.
How accessible is the venue?
As Arta is a listed building, it's unfortunately not very accessibility friendly. There is ground-floor access for the ceremony and an accessible bathroom. However, the meals, speeches and dancing will happen on other floors, which are only accessible via stairs - sorry for any inconvenience.
Shall we bring a gift?
Your presence at our wedding is more important than presents, we do not expect gifts! Should you wish to buy us something, we'd greatly appreciate a contribution towards our future, but we're just glad to have you there on our special day.
Will there be spaces to relax?
We know how full-on weddings can be, and we appreciate that you may have travelled a bit to get to Glasgow. We will set up dedicated spaces in Arta for you to get some chill time before you rejoin the party!
Do I need an umbrella?
We hope it will be nice weather in August, but you never know! Fortunately, the wedding will be in one indoor venue so you can leave your umbrella at home.
Will we be allowed to take pictures?
Yes, feel free to take as many pictures as you like, but we ask that you refrain from posting images of the bride and groom on social media until they have done this. There'll be lots of picture fun on the day, so start practising your best pose!
Will transport to and from the venue be arranged?
One of the reasons we selected a city centre venue was to make it easy for guests to travel and stay nearby, as we have friends and family attending from across the country and beyond. We have shared some hotel suggestions within walking distance and will gladly recommend transport options if you need guidance.
How can I contact the bride and groom?
If you have any further questions or need to speak to the bride or groom, you can call or message the following numbers: Kirsty (07737157794) and Stephen (07570604490).
